Alderman Beverly Burger was elected to her first term on the Board of Mayor and Aldermen in 2005 and currently serves on the Finance and Budget Committee, and is the Chairman of the City Beer Board. Previously she served as vice-mayor and was the Chairman the Public Safety Committee and a member of the Public Enterprise Committee. She also served on the review committee for the Battlefield of Franklin Master Plan and the Communication Manager selection committee.

Since 1995 Burger has owned and managed The Burger Group, LLC, a marketing and strategic planning business started in Huntsville, AL. Much of her work has centered on Housing Market Analysis and Community Studies for government agencies including the US Navy and Coast Guard. She previously worked in national corporate sales, has been the director of franchise sales, and is a former media advertising writer and account manager. Ohio native, Burger has lived in several states as well as abroad. While at Kent State University, where she majored in Journalism, she photographed the Kent State shootings and her photographs appear in numerous publications, documentaries and history books.

Currently under The Burger Group, she operates a Home Staging business, Staging With Style by Beverly Kate. Staging is the process of preparing homes and properties for sale before they go on the market so they can sell for the best possible price at the best rate.

Actively involved in community service, Beverly was a co-founder and director of crisis centers for women in KY and VA. She has served on numerous boards of directors, worked with national, state and local political campaigns for over thirty years, and held leadership positions in her children’s sports clubs and schools, where she applied her expertise in fund raising and grant writing. Currently Burger serves on the Board of Directors for Bridges Shelter for abused women and children, Advisory Board for the Child Advocacy Center, Board of Directors for the Roderick Award for Courage, and is a member of various other non-profit and service organizations. She is also a member of, and Literacy Chairman for the Republican Women of Williamson County. Along with her husband, Ken, she is a member of the Williamson County Republican Party (WCRP), WCRP Chairman’s Circle and the TN State Republican Party.


Alderman Burger and her husband Ken have resided in Franklin since 2003 and are blessed with a wonderful family including three sons – Matt, Zach, and Chris – daughter-in-law, Laura, and grandsons Hayes and Grayson. Beverly’s hobbies and interests include being involved in the community, church activities, politics, photography, writing, reading, golf, travel and most of all, her family.
